Virtual Event

You don’t have to earn your rest. You just have to remember where you come from—and who you’re becoming. We were raised to keep going because our parents had no choice. But resting isn’t disrespecting their sacrifice—it’s honoring it. This conversation is about reclaiming the pause, con cariño.

About the event

We were raised to keep going—because our parents didn’t have the luxury to slow down. Somewhere along the way, rest started to feel like weakness, laziness, or even disrespect. But the truth is, you don’t have to earn your rest.

Rest is not rebellion—it’s reclamation. It’s remembering where you come from and honoring who you’re becoming.

In this Con Cariño Talks session, we’ll explore the guilt that so many first-gen daughters carry when they try to rest or say “no.” Together, we’ll reflect on how rest can be an act of gratitude—a way to honor our ancestors’ sacrifices while choosing a softer, more intentional pace for ourselves.

You’ll leave with reflection prompts, gentle affirmations, and a reminder that slowing down doesn’t make you ungrateful—it helps you sustain the life they dreamed for you.

Come as you are—soft clothes, cafecito in hand, and an open heart. 💛
